Organizations are an excellent way to separate personal and business CI/CD environments, collaborate with team members, and share resources across applications.

Getting Started

Organization Settings

After creating an organization, you are taken directly to the Settings dashboard for your new organization, which is where you will be able to manage basic information, your users and teams, billing, and even shared configurations. However, you should also be aware that, if you’ve already navigated away from your organization’s settings panel, all of your organizations can be found in the main menu underneath your profile picture.

Clicking on one of those organizations will take you to its profile page, which is where you and your team will be able to review applications, organization members, and teams. Team members with the necessary information will also be able to manage the organization settings, teams, and users directly.


As mentioned above, if you have the necessary permissions to manage an organization, then you should see a “Manage Settings” button in the upper right-hand corner of the organization profile. This button will take you back to the settings panel you land on after creating a new organization.

Organizations, just like users, have profile pages. In addition to any public applications, you can also display a public contact email, a short biography, a link to your website, and your organization’s Twitter handle. It is important to note that, while organizations do have profile pictures, they are managed via Gravatar, not directly within Wercker itself.

Environment Variables

Whether it is Heroku deployment keys or a Slack webhook, most projects within an organization share a setting or two. Sharing these settings across projects can be accomplished by creating shared environment variables within the organization itself. This allows you to streamline configurations across applications without any additional setup.


Organization Settings Billing and Invoices

All of your organization’s billing information and invoices can be managed centrally by any user with the ability to manage plans and billing—See the People and Teams documentation for more information about managing organization users.

Your organization’s billing information and payment card can be set and updated as well by clicking on the “Edit” link.
