Killing a container

The internal/docker-kill step kills a running container. It allows a container that is started using the internal/docker-run step to be killed without the need to wait until end of the pipeline. It is equivalent to running the Docker command docker kill.

- internal/docker-kill:
    name: myTestContainer

You must specify the property name while running this step. It indicates the name of the container that you want to kill.

The internal/docker-kill step supports the following property:

  • name: Indicates the ID or the name of the container to be killed. This is the name that you would usually specify in the internal/docker-run step.
